Celebrate Ujamaa, the fourth day of Kwanzaa, at the International Center for Traditional Childbearing in Portland, Tuesday, Dec. 29, 6 -8 p.m.
They will celebrate African American culture with an explanation of the Kwanzaa holiday by Shafia Monroe, as well as share food, ceremony and African music.
There will be activities for the children and a book give away donated by The Children's Book Bank.
The event is at Northminster Presbyterian Church, 2823 North Rosa Parks Way, in the activity room. Please enter from the parking lot entrance.
Admission is free but holiday donations to ICTC are encouraged.
ICTC is a diverse non-profit organization that promotes healthy birth outcomes, provides prenatal and postpartum support through African midwifery knowledge, in an effort to reduce infant mortality.
