Curtis James Mott Sr. Passes On at 30

Curtis James Mott Sr. was born on April 14,1975,in Portland,to Pamela Washington and Henry Mott Sr.

As a little boy, Curtisoften attended church with his mother and both grandmothers. No matter which grandmother he visited, God was always a discussion. As a kid he was affectionately known as "Preacher." Like most kids, he was not scared to speak his mind and pressed anybody to go to church and told them that God loves them.

Curtis was a devoted father, a man of great character, a leader and had the singing voice of an angel. He attended Jefferson High School. While in school, Curtis worked part time — he was always independent.

At the age of 13 Curtis rented his own first apartment. With his height and build, his age was never questioned. Anyone who knew Curtis would say he was a giver and would help you if you need it. He had an unforgettable sense of humor that will be talked about for years to come. He loved to dance and was good at it.

Curtis rededicated his life to Christ, made a noticeable change and later joined Salvation and Deliverance Church of God in Christ, of which he was still a member up until he died. He had a personality that will always be remembered.

He leaves to mourn his parents, Henry Mott Sr., of Vancouver, Wash. and Pamela Washington, of Portland; his child sweetheart, Shardaily Jacob, of Portland; siblings Michael Mott Jr., of Portland, Delores Mott, of San Francisco, Calif., D'Angelo Mott, of Portland; dear-to-his-heart sister, Diamond Randolph; and loved ones Atalaya, Shama, Austin, Eric Jr., Alexis, Andrew, Ericka, Marcel, DeShayton, Montel, Daryll, Antoinette, Quintin and Quintella.

Services were held April 5 at Cox & Cox Funeral Chapel.
