Earllene "Leenie" Woods Lopez died peacefully January 29, 2019 of natural causes in Seattle, Wa. after a long illness.
Although Earllene was born in Grand Junction, Co., raised in Portland, Ore., she called Seattle, Wa. her home for the last 30 years. She was a true Seahawks fan, mother to Sarge, Sarah, and Paris (her dogs), modern artist, lover of IHOP, Tupac, Prince and thrift stores.
Earllene flourished as an building manager for several corporation and public housing projects. Work was her life until chronic health conditions forced her into early retirement.
She is preceded in death by partner Charles McCray, father Earl Wards Sr., and sister Teresa Ransom. She us survived by her mother, Mildred Hill of Portland, Oregon; siblings Lee Robertson, Amelia Moore, Glynnis Woods, Earl Woods Jrl, Rodney Riley, Latrell Woods, Sharmela Woods, and 20 very loved nieces and nephews, their spouses and close friends.
A memorial and celebration will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019, 2:00 p.m. at 1607 N.E. Saratoga, Portland, Ore. In leiu of flowers, please donate to a local pet shelter.
